Making paper flowers

Looking for a fun and creative way to craft a flower? Try making this elegant paper flower using cardstock, pipe cleaners and aluminium wire! Perfect for anyone who enjoys crafting paper flowers or getting creative with floral designs.

1
Punch a teardrop shape out of white cardstock.
2
Cut a 4 inch (10 cm) piece of chenille wire, fold it in half and twist the ends together to create the flower's stamen.
3
Cut a straight piece of aluminium wire (aluwire) measuring 9.8 inches (25 cm) – this will be the stem. If you prefer a longer stem, simply use a longer piece.
4
Gently round the edges of the teardrop shape by curling them slightly with your fingers.
5
Attach the aluminium wire and the stamen to the inside bottom edge of the teardrop shape. Make sure the stem doesn’t stick out too far and that the stamen remains clearly visible when the flower is closed.
6
Apply glue along the lower edge of the teardrop shape, on both sides of the stem and stamen. Carefully roll the shape up to form a closed flower.
7
Punch two oval shapes from green paper. Score them lengthwise and fold them in half to create leaf shapes.
8
Use a glue gun to attach the leaves to the base of the flower, right where the stem begins. This gives the flower a neat, finished look.
