Looking for a fun activity during Easter? With this DIY, you can make a cute paper Easter basket. Perfect for Easter crafting and great to do together with children.
1
Trim a sheet of cardstock from 12 x 12 inches (30.5 x 30.5 cm) down to 11.8 x 11.8 inches (30 x 30 cm).
2
Score the cardstock at 3.9 inches (10 cm) from each edge using a paper trimmer, creating a square in the centre.
3
Cut along the score lines at all four corners up to the folded lines, so you create four flaps.
4
Fold the flaps inward and glue them to the centre square. Do this on two opposite sides to form the basket.
5
Cut a strip of cardstock measuring 11.8 x 1 inches (30 x 2.5 cm) and glue it inside the basket as the handle.
6
For the first example, decorate the Easter basket with markers and shape punches. Punch out eggs, colour them in and glue them onto the basket.
7
For the second example, cut a strip of ‘grass’ from green cardstock. Use shape punches to make a bunny and punch out eggs. Glue the grass, bunny and eggs onto the basket.
