Folding a Paper Heart

Folding a Paper Heart

Choose your favourite colour of cardstock and create these cheerful paper hearts – an ideal project for Valentine’s crafting, a sweet decoration, or to make a romantic garland!

1
Take an A4 sheet of cardstock and cut a strip 12 cm wide along the long side. You now have a strip of 12 x 29.7 cm.
2
Place the strip on a self-adhesive cutting mat and set the circle cutter to a diameter of 13 cm to round the ends of the strip.
3
Position the circle cutter as far to the edge of the strip as possible and cut the edges round. The length of the strip determines how pointed or long the heart will be, so feel free to experiment.
4
Score the paper along the length at 1 cm intervals.
5
Fold the strip into an accordion shape.
6
Fold the accordion in half to form a heart shape. Attach the touching edges with double-sided tape, and your heart is ready!
