Fold a sheet of cardstock measuring 12 x 12 inches (30.5 x 30.5 cm) in half.

Draw the bird shape shown above onto the folded cardstock and cut it out.

Use a craft knife to cut a narrow slit through both sides of the bird shape.

Score a sheet of cardstock in another color measuring 6 x 6 inches (15 x 15 cm) every 0.4 inches (1 cm).

Fold the scored cardstock like an accordion and slide it through the cut slits.
