Craft a cheerful little vase together with a child using a simple glass jar, a paper handprint and some hearts. A fun DIY idea for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or just as a homemade gift!
1
Have the child place their hand on a sheet of paper and spread their fingers slightly. Trace around the hand with a pencil.
2
If the child can use scissors, let them cut out the hand shape using child-safe scissors. Repeat this step with two different colours of paper.
3
Using the same two colours, punch out several paper hearts. If you don’t have a heart-shaped punch, draw some hearts by hand and cut them out.
4
Choose a nice glass jar and clean it thoroughly.
5
Apply glue to the back of one paper hand and stick it onto the jar. Do the same with the other handprint in the second colour.
6
Next, glue the paper hearts around the jar in random spots. Press everything down firmly and allow it to dry completely. And there you have it – a lovely handmade vase, perfect for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day!
