Halloween spider mobile decoration

Halloween spider mobile decoration

Make a cheerful spider mobile and bring a playful Halloween touch into your home. This not-too-scary project is perfect for Halloween crafting with children or for creating a fun seasonal decoration yourself. With cute spiders and autumn details, this mobile adds instant atmosphere to your Halloween decor.

1
To make the spider’s legs, cut 8 pieces of chenille stem measuring 3.5 inches (9 cm).
2
Push the legs into the side of the polystyrene ball, 4 on each side. Leave equal spacing between the legs and bend the pieces of chenille stem into spider-leg shapes.
3
Insert a cocktail stick into the bottom of the ball so you can easily hold it while applying glue and glitter. First apply a thick layer of Mod Podge over the entire ball.
4
Holding the ball using the cocktail stick, shake glitter over the entire ball. Leave to dry.
5
Meanwhile, wrap black chenille stem around a metal ring with a diameter of 9.8 inches (25 cm).
6
Tie a web in the centre of the ring using black chenille stem.
7
Now return to the spiders. Once the glue and glitter are dry, glue on two googly eyes and a nose. Make a small hole in the top of the spider and push some black thread through it. Use a little glue to keep the thread in place. Use different thread lengths for each spider.
8
Hang your spiders from the web. Your spider mobile is ready!
