Transform a rosette into an elegant lily pad and top it with a beautiful paper flower – a stylish and creative DIY project with stunning results!
1
Start by taking an A4 sheet of green pearlescent paper and cut two strips of 2.75 inches (7 cm) width lengthwise.
2
Score both strips every centimetre using the Score Easy, then glue them together to form one long strip.
3
Join the ends to create a circle.
4
Gently press down in the centre of the circle to form a flat rosette. Make sure the back side of the paper is facing up and glue everything in place so the rosette holds firmly.
5
Punch flowers from dark pink, pink, light pink, and white cardstock: three large ones in dark pink, two in pink, three in light pink, and one small white flower for the centre.
6
Score and fold the petals of the large flowers slightly to give them more depth.
7
Add colour to the petals using stamping ink and a dauber for a nice, soft effect.
8
Gently curl all petals upward and layer the flowers from largest to smallest to create a full, dimensional bloom.
9
Finish with a touch of glossy finish (Glossy Accents) by adding small droplets to the rosette for a sparkling effect.
10
Attach the flower to the centre of the rosette, as if it were a lily resting on a pad.
