Create this festive paper star using a teardrop punch. Perfect as a table decoration, a hanging ornament for the Christmas tree, or string several together to make a cheerful Christmas garland.
1
Take an ivory-coloured A4 sheet of paper and cut it lengthwise in half.
2
Use the teardrop punch to punch out 12 shapes from one strip of paper. Alternate sides: first on the left, then on the right, moving gradually down to use the paper efficiently.
3
Punch a small circle from the same strip as well.
4
Place each teardrop one by one on the Score Easy and score a line right down the middle.
5
Fold the teardrops in half along the score line.
6
Place the first drop face up and apply a small amount of glue to the bottom right corner.
7
Stick a second teardrop on top, open it, add glue, and stick on the next teardrop.
8
Repeat this until you are almost all the way round. For the last teardrop, add some glue inside first, then stick it in place to close the star.
9
Finally, glue the small punched circle to the back of the star for extra strength. At the front, you can leave the half-teardrops slightly raised for a playful effect.
