Handmade gift tag

Handmade gift tag

Make every gift extra personal with a handmade gift tag in warm colours and elegant details. With scrapbook paper and a tag punch, you can easily create a label for presents, small surprises or thoughtful messages. This project is perfect for making gift packaging with a personal touch.

1
Choose from two types of scrapbook paper from the Magnolia Jane collection and Vaessen chalkboard paper. Cut these into three different sizes: 2.5 x 6” (6.35 x 15.25 cm), 2 x 5”(5.1 x 12.7 cm) for the scrapbook and 5 x 6”(3.8 x 15.25 cm) for the chalkboard paper.
2
Make tags with the Vaessen Creative 3-in-1 punch. First insert the chalkboard paper through the back of the punch to create a “negative” die-cut.
3
Turn over the tag and punch again on the other side. Stick the tags together with adhesive tape, leaving an edge of the chalkboard paper sticking out.
4
Cut off the edge of the tag. Gather the Ephemera from the Magnolia Jane collection and stick these together with 3D tape and conventional double-sided adhesive tape.
5
Use the Vaessen Creative hand punch to create a hole in the tag and feed the string through this hole. Thread some beads onto the string and place a cute ribbon around it.
6
Then write a thoughtful message on the chalkboard paper using chalk markers.
