Create a sweet card with a twine heart — a perfect project for Valentine’s crafting and a warm surprise for someone you cherish.

Start with a pink sheet of linen cardstock and tear it to approximately 6.1 x 6.1 inches (15.5 x 15.5 cm) using a tearing ruler. Ensure all edges have a torn effect.

Repeat this process with a white sheet of linen cardstock, cutting it to 5.3 x 5.3 inches (13.5 x 13.5 cm).

Use a heart-shaped cutting die of approximately 4.9 inches (12.5 cm) wide and trace the shape with a pencil.

Determine the placement of the brads. Place a brad down and mark the centre, then place another brad next to it as a spacer and mark the centre of the next brad. Repeat this process until you complete the circle.

Using a screw punch (smallest attachment), create holes at the marked spots. Protect your table with a work mat.

Erase all pencil lines thoroughly.

Insert the brads into the holes, but do not fasten them too tightly; leave some space for the twine.

Thread one end of the hemp cord through a hole of a brad and secure it at the back with tape.

Wrap the twine in a criss-cross pattern around the brads, ensuring each pin is wrapped at least once. When satisfied, wrap the twine around one pin a few times, cut it, tuck the end under the pin, and press it down firmly.

Finally, cut a white sheet of linen cardstock to 6.5 x 6.5 inches (16.5 x 16.5 cm). First, stick the pink sheet onto it (step 1), followed by the sheet with the heart design. Write a lovely message on the back, and your card is complete!
