Create a card with a pull-out photo strip

Create a card with a pull-out photo strip

Print your favourite photos and make this original card with a photo strip that slides out. Perfect as a personal gift or a fun surprise for someone special!

1
Die-cut the filmstrip from the Vintage Filmstrip set (3625-0212) using a die-cutting and embossing machine.
2
Attach the filmstrip to a piece of paper measuring 1.8 x 5.5 inches (4.5 × 14 cm) (we chose a colour that matches the base card).
3
Print your photos at least 1.6 x 1.6 inches (4 × 4 cm) and die-cut them using the die from the Vintage Camera set (3625-0211).
4
Adhere the photos inside the filmstrip. You can stamp a small sentiment in the top frame if you like.
5
Die-cut the camera, decorate it with stamps, and assemble it.
6
Decorate a piece of paper measuring 4 x 5.8 inches (10 × 14.8 cm) for the front of the card.
7
Place the camera where you want it on the card (placing it at the top creates the best and most surprising effect). Lightly draw a pencil line to mark where the filmstrip will come out; use the top of the camera as a guide.
8
Cut an opening along the pencil line.
9
Apply thin foam tape along all the edges.
10
Attach this panel to a folded card. We use a 7.8 x 5.8 inches (20 × 14.8 cm) card with a fold at 3.9 inches (10 cm).
11
Slide the photo strip through the opening.
12
Add foam tape to the back of the camera, leaving the left side free. Stick the camera over the opening so it becomes invisible.
13
Die-cut the clip.
14
Add glue along the yellow-marked line. This allows you to secure the photo strip between the clip and the camera. Your pull-out card is ready!
