Using cardstock, acetate sheets, and dried flowers, you can easily create an elegant bookmark. Perfect as a small gift or to add a special touch to your own book.
1
Choose a sheet of sturdy cardstock in a colour of your choice (for example, Florence texture Dahlia). Take two rectangular dies from a multi-frame die set, place them inside each other on the paper (as shown in the photo), and run them through the die-cutting machine.
2
Repeat this step so you have two frames: one for the front and one for the back.
3
Take a sheet of double-sided adhesive and use the largest rectangular die to cut out a shape.
4
Use the guillotine cutter to cut two pieces of acetate to the same size as the adhesive sheet.
5
Remove one protective layer from the adhesive sheet and carefully stick it onto the acetate, avoiding any air bubbles.
6
Peel off the other protective layer and stick dried flowers onto the adhesive surface. Tip: You can easily dry flowers yourself by placing them between tissues, adding something heavy on top, and leaving them for a few days.
7
Once you've added enough flowers, place a second acetate sheet on top. Press firmly in the areas without flowers.
8
Trim any flowers that extend beyond the edges.
9
Take the two paper frames and apply double-sided tape along the edges.
10
Stick the frames to both sides of the acetate “sandwich.”
