About Katharina Tarta

Katharina Tarta has been creative her whole life. As a child, she was often drawing, crafting and painting. Her imagination was already clear back then. In her kindergarten yearbook, there is a funny story about a drawing she made of an underwater world, where all the fish were wearing sunglasses. When her brother pointed out that fish do not wear sunglasses, Katharina replied that they do in her imagination.

That creative and independent way of thinking has always stayed with her. Later on, Katharina continued to love making things herself, especially for others. Every year, she happily made Christmas gifts for friends, family and the employees of her mother’s company.

Around that time, she discovered die-cutting. While she was once again busy making Christmas gifts, she realised that a die-cutting machine would make the work much easier and faster. That year, she received her first die-cutting machine as a present. Since then, she has been hooked and uses her machine almost every day.

Even today, Katharina is often the person people turn to when they need a last-minute card or gift for a special occasion. She also loves sharing her creativity with others. During the Covid period, she gave online crafting classes for children. She prepared little packs with pre-cut pieces and decorations, so the children could create and decorate their own cards. Later, she continued these creative classes in person.
