What is the Score Easy?

The Score Easy is a large, multifunctional scoring board that makes it easy to create straight fold lines in paper and cardstock. By scoring the paper before folding it, you get a clean, crisp fold without tearing or frayed edges.

The board has clear measurement markings and is available in centimetres or inches. It is suitable for various paper sizes, from scrapbook paper to A4 and A5. Thanks to the two open edges, you can also work with larger or longer sheets of paper.

What is included with the Score Easy?

With the Score Easy, you receive:

Basics: How does a scoring board work?

A scoring board is used to create fold lines in paper. Place the paper firmly against the edges of the board, choose the correct scoring line and gently run the bone folder through the groove. You can then fold the paper neatly along the scored line.

Important:

• Always place the paper firmly against the top and side edge of the board.
• Use steady, light pressure with the bone folder.
• Do not press too hard, as this may damage the paper.
• Only fold the paper after all scoring lines have been made.
• For thick cardstock, it is better to use several light passes rather than one hard pass.

Waarom moet ik papier rillen voordat ik het vouw?

Door papier te rillen, maak je een gecontroleerde vouwlijn. Daardoor vouwt papier of cardstock strakker en voorkom je scheuren, barsten of slordige vouwen.

Kan ik de Score Easy gebruiken met dik cardstock?

Ja, dat kan. Gebruik bij dikker cardstock wel rustige, gelijkmatige druk. Druk niet te hard in één keer, maar ril liever iets voorzichtiger en vouw daarna rustig langs de lijn.

Waarvoor gebruik ik de driehoekige liniaal?

De driehoekige liniaal gebruik je vooral bij het maken van enveloppen en envelopdoosjes. Ook staan hier de pictogrammen en bijbehorende rillijnen op uitgelegd.

Kan ik A4- en A5-papier gebruiken?

Ja. De Score Easy heeft speciale hulplijnen voor A4- en A5-papier. Zo kun je eenvoudig basiskaarten, gevouwen kaarten en gatefold-kaarten maken.

Wat betekenen de pictogrammen op het bord?

De pictogrammen verwijzen naar handige extra rillijnen. Denk aan lijnen voor scrapbookpapier, A4-papier, A5-papier en A5 gatefold-kaarten. De uitleg van deze symbolen staat op de bijgeleverde driehoekige liniaal.

Hoe voorkom ik dat mijn papier scheurt?

Gebruik niet te veel druk, vooral niet bij dun papier. Werk met een schoon vouwbeen en ril altijd in de groef van het bord. Bij kwetsbaar papier kun je eerst testen op een reststukje.

Onderhoud en opbergen

Houd het rilbord schoon en verwijder papierrestjes na gebruik. Berg het vouwbeen en de driehoekige liniaal op aan de achterkant van het bord, zodat je alles bij elkaar houdt en de accessoires niet kwijtraakt.
