The story behind Ranger Ink

Since 1929, the American family company Ranger Ink, has been developing stamping ink. At first, only for banks, but soon also for the large arts & crafts audience. By constantly introducing new colours and creative possibilities, Ranger Ink has conquered the hearts of crafters worldwide. The brand now has an impressive collection of powders, mediums, paints and inks for stamping, painting, embossing, texturing and creating ageing effects.

Each of the five Signature Designers of Ranger Ink has released a product line including stamps, stencils and cutting dies in a unique style. Tim Holtz's collection screams 'vintage'. Dina Wakley's artistic style has lots of organic shapes. Dyan Reaveley is known for her colourful doodles. Simon Hurley has a very cheerful, fun style and Wendy Vecchi's designs are on the vintage rural side. All five design products are extremely popular among artists and novice hobbyists alike. The craft supplies are ideally suited to mixed media projects, in which different materials and techniques are combined. Tim Holtz: Distress, alcohol ink & Idea-ology

Tim Holtz is one of the five designers at Ranger Ink and a true icon within the craft world. His love for vintage has inspired him to develop the Distress collection and a range of alcohol inks. The Distress line consists of Distress ink pads, sprays, paints, stains, mediums, crayons and markers, all of which can be combined perfectly with another. Each product comes in the same shade, so you will always have a perfect match. Learn all about the Distress collection and how to use Distress ink. Besides the Alcohol Inks, The Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink line includes Alcohol Pearls, Alcohol Ink Blending Solution, Mixatives, Yupo Cardstock, handy craft tools and matching accessories. In addition to the two brands within Ranger Ink, Tim also has a personal product line: Tim Holtz Idea-ology. Dina Wakley MEdia

Dina Wakley is a true mixed media artist. She loves art and everything to do with it. Dina's colourful, expressive style lies between artistic and classical. Her style is known for its sketched drawings, scribbled lines and organic shapes. Dina designed various craft supplies for Ranger Ink, such as watercolour paper, acrylic paints, mediums, brushes, stamps and stencils. The Dina Wakley MEdia collection forms a colourful palette with something for everyone. Popular items include the Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays, the Scribble Sticks and her artistic Media Stamps. It’s also fun to combine the Chipboard Shapes and the Collage Paper. Dina travels the world teaching and sharing her passion for art with students.

Dyan Reaveley Dylusions

Designer Dyan Reaveley is - just like Dina Wakley - known for her inspiring mixed media creations and expressive style. As a Ranger Signature Designer, she designs an extensive line of Art Journaling and Mixed Media supplies called Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley. Her unique style can be recognised by the vibrant colours, creative layers, beautiful collage techniques and witty sayings. Dyan's art journals are very inspiring because of the clever use of mediums, textures and graphic elements.

The Dylusions collection by Dyan Reaveley includes products that are ideal for mixed media art, creative journaling, planning, paper crafting, card making, doodling and much more! The Dylusions product line includes all kinds of ink sprays, shimmer sprays, paints, stamps, stencils, journals and design paper. Dyan also has two other collections: Creative Dyary with creative planners and Dyalog, a complete notebook system. It’s her mission to introduce everyone to journaling because she thinks it's such a fantastic hobby.

Card king Simon Hurley has been creating and crafting since he was a child. He used to do a lot of crafts with origami and polymer clay until he discovered his passion for card making. Simon fell in love with card making because, to him, each card is a small canvas and it doesn't take much time to create a work of art that can brighten someone's day. When Simon was ten years old, he was introduced to Distress inks, alcohol inks and Dylusions sprays and discovered his fondness for creating inky backgrounds.

Although he started with ink, Simon soon dived into the world of stamping, embossing and colouring. For several years he has been working with Ranger Ink under the name Simon Hurley create. designing heaps of materials for card making and crafting with paper, such as cardstock, stamping ink, stencils and the well-known metallic texture paste Lunar Paste. Simon has a playful design style that he combines with bright, vibrant colours.

Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART

Wendy Vecchi - stamp designer for Ranger Ink - says she is addicted to ink and stamps. Products in Wendy's line include Archival ink, Blendable ink, Perfect card adhesive and Perfect cardstock. Also, in her MAKE ART line, you'll find various washi tapes, beautiful Stamp, Die & Stencil sets and the popular MAKE ART Stay-tion products. Wendy's products are inspired by her love for flowers and vintage gardens. She also likes to share her passion for art online. In her tutorials, she demonstrates multiple techniques and the use of products in unique, unexpected ways. Wendy's slogan is loud and clear: 'Make art!

In addition to the beautiful collections of the five Signature Designers, Ranger Ink also has some that do not belong to a specific designer:

• Perfect Pearls: pearlescent pigment powder designed for both wet and dry use or to mix watercolours, inks, acrylics, embossing powders and other mediums for brilliant results.
• Liquid Pearls: dimensional pearlescent paint that dries permanent when used on paper and fabric. With this, you can create 3D pearls and pearl accents.
