Fuse beads for crafting fans of all ages

You might think that fuse beads are for craft projects for children. But there are also many fun projects that adults can do. In this blog, we list the best home decor projects with fuse beads for you. You can make cheerful coasters, a trendy photo frame or one of the other inspiring DIY projects. Fun to do for you, and you can make someone happy with a homemade gift.

Photo frame made of fuse beads

For this project, you need several pegboards. Did you know that you can connect them, so that you can also craft larger projects with fuse beads? This means you are not limited to the size of a single pegboard. Choose the size of the picture you want to put in the frame and determine the number of pegboards you need for this. Glue your picture onto sturdy cardboard and make a beautifully decorated frame of fuse beads around it.

3D fuse bead project: desk box for paper clips

With fuse beads you don't only have to make flat objects, you can also make 3D objects like this heart box. Start with the basic shape, of which you only make the outline. Create 5 identical shapes to make the walls, or more if you want a higher box. For the bottom and the lid, fill the entire circumference with fuse beads. Once you have these individual parts, you can assemble the box. Use thin nylon thread and a long needle. Stack all the parts - except the lid - on top of each other and stick the needle and thread through all the layers. Tie off with a knot and then trace the entire circumference of the box, threading all the layers together. Finish with a knot again.

Fuse beads project without ironing

These cheerful coloured beads can be used in many more ways than just laying them on a pattern and ironing them together. You can also work more freely by pressing the fuse beads into clay or salt dough. First create a basic shape such as a pencil case or jar and press the fuse beads into the still wet material. Make graphic patterns, or go wild and press them randomly into the clay for a confetti effect. This project is also great fun to do with toddlers.

Coasters made of fuse beads

Achieving a wow effect with crafting doesn't have to be difficult or time-consuming. These cheerful coasters are made by completely filling a square pegboard with fuse beads in colours and patterns of your choice. Our fuse beads are available in many colours so go for bright, choose pastel shades or make a nice mix.

Cute fuse bead bookmark

Looking for a quick project? You don't need much time or material for this bookmark. Create a figure or animal of your choice and iron the shape as usual. After it has cooled, stick a paper clip on it with all-purpose glue - do not use a glue gun! This gets hot and your project may fall apart again.
