Why does my order total change in the shopping cart?
You might notice that the total amount in your shopping cart sometimes differs slightly from the prices shown on our product pages. Please be assured that this is not a technical error, but a result of European Union VAT (Value Added Tax) regulations.
How does it work?
As an e-commerce business selling within the EU, we are legally required to charge the VAT rate that applies in the country where your order is being delivered.
On the product page: The price is displayed including the standard VAT rate.
In the shopping cart/checkout: As soon as you enter your delivery address, our system identifies the final destination of your order. At that moment, the VAT percentage is automatically updated to match the local tax rate of your country.
Because tax rates vary across the EU, this adjustment may cause the final total to be slightly higher or lower than the price initially displayed.
