Are you wondering which jewelry pliers you need? There are three basic types of pliers that you need: the side cutter, flat nose pliers and round nose pliers. With the side cutter you cut wire to the right length. Because the wire is often fine, a standard side cutter is sufficient. The flat nose pliers are useful jewelry pliers because you can use them to hold jewelry pieces and to pinch two parts together. Choose flat nose pliers with a smooth jaw if you’re working with sterling silver. With the round nose pliers you bend silver and other wires in all kinds of shapes. At Vaessen Creative you’ll find various sets with these three basic types of pliers.

As well as these basic pliers, there is also the crimp tool that you can use to finish off crimp beads neatly. With these jewelry pliers you can put pressure on the crimp beads to flatten them.
