Felt flower wreath

Become your own felt florist with this DIY! In this tutorial, we show you 3 different ways to make the most beautiful felt flowers. It's fun and easy to make, with an impressive floral wreath as a result. All you need is felt in your favourite (flower) colours, a glue gun, scissors and a metal ring. You can use the wreath as an elegant home decor accessory by hanging it on the wall, door or window, but it will also look great in the children's room. And it makes a perfect (maternity) gift as well.

1
For the first type of flower, take a piece of felt and cut out a long rectangle. In this example, a 10 x 30 cm rectangle was cut out, but you can make it as big or small as you like.
2
Glue the two long sides together with a glue gun.
3
Cut vertical pieces along the entire length on the folded side.
4
Glue the bottom part bit by bit and roll it inwards.
5
This is the first flower.
6
For a simpler flower shape, use the same technique, but skip step 1.2.
7
This is the second flower.
8
For the second type of flower, cut out a number of circles. The circles in this example have a diameter of about 3 cm, but again, you can make them as big or small as you like. The more circles you make, the bigger your flower will be.
9
Cut all circles in half and add glue over the right side of the figure. Then stick on another half. Continue until there are no more pieces left.
10
Add glue to the bottom, and roll up the flower.
11
This is the third flower.
12
To make a leaf, cut an oval or circle.
13
Add a little glue to the edge of the circle, and fold them together.
14
These will be the leaves
15
Take a metal ring and glue all the flowers to it.
16
Combine different colours, shapes and techniques to make different types of flowers and leaves.
