Block printing

Block printing is done with a stamp made out of a solid piece of wood. You paint or ink the wood with a sponge or a roller before stamping. This will give a nice effect on fabric.

Block printing

The origin of thick, wooden stamps lies in India, where the stamps are used to decorate the body with henna. Many Indian motifs are reflected in the block stamp collection of Plaid, such as an Indian elephant and a peacock feather.

Block printing stamps

The Fabric Creations™ block printing stamps of Plaid are great design tools for creating one-of-a-kind, hand-made fabric projects. Create unique scarves, quilts or patchwork. Of course, you can also use these stamps in a scrapbook or on a map.
